This is an astonishing vintage Navajo very large shell and stone silver bracelet. This impeccable bracelet contains 8 outstanding hand cut orange spiny oyster shells that surround a fascinating large chunky spiderweb turquoise stone. The stone appears to be from the wonderful and very rare Cerrillos turquoise mine. Surrounding the stone and shells are fabulous silver works that consist of swirling stems, raindrops and ropes. The thickness and heaviness of this bracelet is just amazing and so wonderful. The bracelet contains a stunning quadruple silver shank cuff that graduates in width towards the center. The height at the center of the bracelet measures around 2-3/4". The old natural patina on this bracelet is superior. The center stone measures around 1-3/8" x 1-1/4". Signed by Navajo artist, PN. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. The inside end to end measures around 5-1/4" with an additional 1-1/2" gap. Sturdy 144 grams.
