Collaborations with visionaries like Le Corbusier, Louis Kahn, and a young Balkrishna Doshi birthed a poetic Indo-Western style that became the cornerstone of India’s architectural identity.
In Chandigarh, Le Corbusier, guided by Balkrishna Doshi’s deep understanding of Indian culture and climate, married modernist concrete and clean lines with the natural integration of gardens and water features, together forming a balance of form and soul.
